But really, in the past couple of days I've lost track of how many "hyperventilation" phases I've had.

I suppose it's weird for me to start keeping two blogs and a journal at once, but last night I couldn't bring myself to finish my journal entry again and the other blog tends to store a lot more of the other side of me that doesn't like to get cluttered by this blog. But they're all me, I guess.
That does beg the question, what is the purpose of this blog? I don't like to think that I've abandoned this one. But I found that, in addition to the fact that my hand's been getting sore whenever I use a pencil nowadays, I just miss typing out stuff in this thing. I feel like I'm just more accustomed to getting my words out here, I guess. But enough of that.
Lately I guess I've been going through moments of fluctuations, I guess. I had a high moment with the midterm last week, and this week's midterm just brought me to a low point. I'm still pissed off that I didn't finish 18 points worth of a 100 point exam, and am consequently paranoid about all of the potential repercussions of it and whatnot... but forget it. It's just one midterm of a class where my grade is dominated by the projects I do for it anyway. Whatever.
I guess I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that I have to drop at least one of the classes I want to take next year. I really don't want to drop Japanese if anything, even though it means adding a freaking heckload amount of work... but still, at the same time I want to fit in two neuro classes, linear algebra, and possibly probability, on top of all the other eecs classes I could be looking at. bleeeeh.
What am I going to do with my life, I wonder.

It's project time! Although because I am tired and borderline headaching, I'm blogging instead.
Obligatory telebears post:
Computer Science 150 - Components and Design Techniques for Digital Systems (this class is going to KILL ME. and is primarily the reason why I'm only taking 3 classes, which would sound blasphemous to my two years ago self. Oh, wait, I'm taking 4 classes again. -_-)
Molecular and Cell Biology C160 - Intro to Neurobiology (on second thought, I want to take this one now)
Statistics 134 - Concepts of Probability (Because half a round last time wasn't enough.)
African American Studies 142AC - Race and Film (I need to get my AC out of the way, and finally settled for a class that actually sounds interesting! I suppose watching a movie every week will make up for that lack of a fourth class. and then writing about them!)
And if I have time/room, I might consider a Decal depending on what's offered next semester. Fingers crossed for a good video games related one. :)
So yeah, I changed my mind about that bio break. I'll save that for next year.

It occurred to me while eating ramen today that I dislike cold, spicy things. I feel like if it's going to be spicy it may as well be... hot, or maybe that's what I've always associated the spicy sensation with. Or at least lukewarm. Maybe that's the reason why I dislike kimchi but like kimchi flavored ramen?
Reverse thing with coffee. I only like it iced, although for that matter I don't like the taste of coffee usually unless it's in ice cream. Usually when I go to a coffee shop I just get a frappuchino/freddo, typically something non-caffeinated like vanilla. Which is more like a vanilla milkshake without the ice cream. Oh well.

The book lists for the English classes that are offered next semester are out! YES!
...I am probably the only person I know who would get excited about the book lists for classes that I will never take.
In other news, I should probably stop wikiing games that I haven't finished yet. A four word spoiler flashed by my face as I was closing the Anchorhead tab, and now I am lightly scarred for life.
I've had Heaven's Light/Hellfire from Hunchback of Notre Dame stuck in my head for the last couple of weeks. It doesn't ever seem to stop.

Sooo I decided to start over with this thing. Just felt like it, I guess. I did start writing a bit in my journal and all, but I found that I was missing the feel of typing-whenever-I-feel-like-it, cause a lot of times I'd feel like I was in the mood of writing something but didn't have the energy to break out that pencil and physically put it down the hardcore way. Here it's easier for me to just type things out lazily, which is just what I need sometimes. But enough said.
Lately...
- My printer is annoying me. Half of the time I try to print something, my laptop freezes up (or maybe I should be mad at my lappie? No. Never.) for a good couple of minutes, and then in cases like this morning it printed pages 1+4 back to back followed by pages 2+3, which confused the heck out of me when I was trying to follow the lecture. First I had real page 1 labeled as page 2, then I changed it to page 1 but then had real page 4 labeled page 2 and had real pages 2 and 3 labeled pages 3 and 4 and so thought, "wait, it really printed them out the right way after all!"... until 5 minutes later when I consequently found out that pages 3 and 4 were in fact real pages 2 and 3 because the lecturer moved to the page I had labeled 2 at the end... GAAAAAGH.
- I am still steaming about that printer.
- Not to mention, that printer has this annoying tendency to randomly pull 2-3-4 pages in at once, which messes up the order when I'm trying to manually print pages double-sided and I had to play tug-of-war with the stupid thing to let my pages go, after which one or more pages are printed in the wrong order and I have to throw them away. I only didn't throw them away this morning because I was in a rush to get to class, although we were still late anyway cause we had to clean up the mess after the Frosted Flakes accidentally fell over Nathan. or around him.
- Lately my lappie's just been... failing me in general? Sometimes it just randomly freezes without warning- last time because I had accidently knocked the power cord just slightly off and all of a sudden it just decided to freeze on me like that. I wonder if it's just getting old in years.
- I am kinda-sorta craving Windows 7 right now (yay Berkeley EECS!) but I need that stupid Microsoft Office CD first. It's probably laying somewhere around at home right now...
- I am also craving a text adventure that I shouldn't be playing because I have a midterm and a project design spec due tomorrow. Recently I started playing this piece of interactive fiction (wiki it) called Anchorhead (wiki it also) that's supposed to be a work of Lovecraftian horror... I am intrigued. Although I haven't really experienced anything that I might call "Lovecraftian" yet besides the random crows staring at my husband (the character I'm playing is female) and a somewhat creepy text dream sequence.
- I am also craving to finish The Satanic Verses right now, which I also shouldn't be reading because of the said above. -_-
- I am ALSO craving to continue watching Higashi no Eden and Legend of the Galactic Heroes. And to start reading this manga called Sanctuary.
- " " " " " finish Gabriel Knight 1. and Sam and Max Hit the Road. and the Last Express. and Planescape: Torment. and Earthbound. and Flowers, Sun, and Rain.
- Pretty much, I never have time in my life to finish anything I start. The usual.
- I really like the fact that it's cloudy right now. I feel like I have greater affinity with gloomy days, followed by cool sunny days. Although we probably aren't going to be having the latter anytime soon; the forecast predicts that it's going to rain.
- "Extrospective???" Ryan Loong, you come up with the weirdest words.
