Sometimes I feel like it's possible to fall into this trap of trying too hard to come up with something interesting to write about on this blog. It almost feels like I'm trying to cater to a group of regular readers that don't really exist, like one of those serial authors like Dickens or... Dickens.
Speaking of Dickens, I really want to read David Copperfield one of these days. Although I feel like reading another book first, but I don't feel like reading another book yet. Slavic/English is kinda draining me of reading power at the moment, considering I don't have much ability to read anything else at the moment. Why does next week suck soooo much.
I have to say that Petersburg has been a pretty enjoyable book though, or at least what much of it I've been able to get through so far. I knew that Bely was kinda crazy to begin with, but after reading the passage where the main guy Ableukhov started to obsess about cubes and rectilineal prospects and polyhedrality and expanding spheres enclosed by ouroboroses, I knew that this was a good book. I mean, coming from the guy who swore he saw unicorns in real life and all (least according to my last Slavic teacher).
For some reason I found the image of random pedestrians throwing bombs into the passingby carriages of senators kinda funny. Even though it's actually a pretty viable terrorist strategy, I just thought of Ableukhov getting blown up by a bomb tossed into his lap and... laughed? eh heh.
But enough about my obscure Russian novel.
I'm sitting here in CS lab right now wasting time because I finished lab (or "skimmed" through it, rather) and don't feel like going anywhere to be productive about my other classes. I've been surprisingly productive for the first half of the week though; I've actually gotten 3/4 of the way through chem lab writeup and cs 70 hw, and everything is on track before hell week starts next wednesday. ooh I am going to dread it so much.
I feel like saying more but I think I am going to relocate now that I've complained about it.
